Job Description

The APAC Marketing Lead will drive Plume’s global growth by leading localized marketing efforts across the APAC region and managing our Key Opinion Leader (KOL) strategy.

This role sits within the marketing team and blends strategic ownership with regional execution, ensuring that Plume’s KOL activations deliver impact, while tailoring our global marketing approach to resonate across diverse APAC markets.

The ideal candidate is based in APAC, fluent in crypto-native culture, and experienced in working cross-functionally with marketing, BD, and ecosystem partners.

Responsibilities

Localized Marketing Management

  • Serve as the regional lead for all marketing activity across APAC, acting as both strategic owner and on-the-ground executor

  • Localize Plume’s global marketing strategy for APAC markets with tailored languages, distribution tactics, cultural nuance, and regional channels

  • Provide strategic recommendations for events, partnerships, and communities specific to key APAC markets (e.g., Korea, Japan, SEA)

  • Manage any translation or localization vendors to support content accuracy and accessibility

  • Represent Plume at key APAC industry events and foster in-region relationships with media, community leaders, and partners

  • Deliver quarterly insights on APAC performance and emerging opportunities to inform global strategy

KOL Program Strategy & Management

  • Own the end-to-end success of Plume’s global KOL program

  • Act as the primary point-of-contact for our KOL network across channels and regions

  • Develop and maintain a scalable KOL strategy aligned with key business and marketing objectives

  • Author "KOL Memos" that clearly define campaign positioning, activation goals, and key messaging

  • Track and report performance of KOL initiatives, ensuring alignment with ROI and reach goals

  • Collaborate closely with content and ecosystem marketing teams to amplify major launches and narratives

Requirements

  • Based in APAC with strong familiarity of the regional crypto landscape

  • 3–5 years experience in Web3, crypto, or fintech marketing, preferably with exposure to KOL or influencer marketing

  • Demonstrated success managing KOL campaigns and/or localized marketing strategies

  • Strong cross-cultural communication and project management skills

  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, globally distributed team

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other APAC regional languages is a plus
