About the Role

We're looking for a Business Development Lead to drive stablecoin partnerships that accelerate adoption across DeFi, consumer applications, and cross-border use cases. This is a high-impact role for someone who knows the stablecoin landscape inside and out. You’ll work directly with Sei Development Foundation leadership, ecosystem teams, and strategic partners to position Sei as a premier chain for stablecoin issuance, distribution, and usage.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic partnerships with stablecoin issuers, wallets, exchanges (CEXs/DEXs), payment platforms, custodians, and other ecosystem players

  • Develop Sei’s stablecoin strategy and own the GTM roadmap for onboarding top stablecoin partners to the Sei ecosystem

  • Lead high-impact negotiations from initial outreach through diligence, term sheets, and launch

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, and ecosystem teams to align on partnership execution

  • Track stablecoin trends across regions, verticals, and use cases to inform Sei’s broader growth priorities

  • Represent Sei externally at industry events, with the press, and across strategic conversations to position Sei as a stablecoin hub

  • Report on impact, including new integrations, stablecoin volume growth, and long-term usage of stablecoins within Sei-based apps

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or ecosystem growth in web3, fintech, or payments

  • Deep familiarity with the stablecoin ecosystem and an understanding of what matters to issuers and integrators

  • A proven track record of closing complex deals and driving partnerships from concept to execution

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to explain technical value propositions to non-technical stakeholders

  • Analytical instincts and the ability to make data-driven decisions with metrics that drive ecosystem health

  • High agency, proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working with ambiguity

  • Passion for web3 and belief in the role of stablecoins in expanding access to global financial systems

Nice to haves

  • Direct experience working with major stablecoins (e.g., USDC, USDT)

  • Existing network of contacts across top stablecoin projects, DeFi protocols, and Layer 1 ecosystems

  • Experience launching or scaling stablecoin-related products
