Our Local Programs and Regulatory Compliance team is responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations in the countries where we operate.
We are looking for a savvy, agile, experienced individual to join our team and play an integral role within our Compliance function in Australia. You will work in the Regulatory Compliance team to support the regional Regulatory Compliance VP and AMLCO. You will work closely with the local and global compliance teams as well as key cross-functional stakeholders to support a top-of-class Compliance program.You will be responsible for supporting Crypto.com’s operational compliance obligations such as regulatory reporting, dispute resolution, compliance assessments, risk management and a variety of projects across the Australian compliance program. Key Responsibiities
Provide support to the team in managing our regulatory compliance program in Australia, including:Monitor and manage compliance with AFSL obligations Advise the business on day-to-day compliance related matters Assist in the review and submission of reconciliations and regulatory reports Liaise with compliance officers globally on business activities conducted across different countriesProvide advice on new products and new business structures Manage internal compliance operational controls and carry out assessments as requiredMonitor services provider SLAs and provide feedback where neededHandle regulatory inquiries Handle bankruptcy requests, deceased estate requests and Centrelink casesHandle internal and external escalated disputes including AFCA liaisonPerform compliance assessments of digital assets Assist with third party due diligence processesReview marketing materials Review and advise on escalated financial crime cases Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures Assist in updating the compliance program and work plan on a regular basis Update the business on regulatory changes Support reviews, audits and inspections from external parties, including regulators, and ensuring relevant findings are remediated appropriatelySupport preparation of management and board reporting that includes insights and analysis based on industry-leading knowledge of regulatory compliance topicsAssist in responses to industry consultations on digital asset regulationAssist in handling various compliance projects Ensure staff adherence to company policies and proceduresPromote compliance awareness and provide compliance training where neededPerform duties and provide support as 2IC for the Australian compliance teamCarry out other compliance related duties as instructed by VP Regulatory Compliance from time to timeStay up-to-date with the current regulatory landscape and compliance requirements of the cryptocurrency industryRequirements
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial services complianceBachelor's degree and RG146 complianceACAMS certification preferredWorking knowledge of AFSL obligations, derivatives compliance and associated reporting Leadership and management skills including experience managing a teamFamiliarity with ASIC and AUSTRAC requirements a mustFamiliarity with RBA and APRA requirements preferredKnowledge of the applicable contemporary practices in the field of Compliance, including but not limited to understanding of regulatory matters regarding AFSL and AML legislative and regulatory requirementsAbility to read, analyse and interpret applicable legislation in the field of financial services/technologies. Ability to write briefs, reports and business correspondenceStrong presentation and verbal communication skills to liaise with people at all levels both inside and outside the organisationTeam player, self-motivated, dependable, adaptable and detail-oriented individual with analytical, writing and organisational skills requiredExcellent time management skills and ability to manage deadlinesAbility to prioritise and act fast Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to pick up new ideas and concepts quicklyCrypto and blockchain knowledge is highly desirable and an interest in cryptocurrency and the fintech ecosystem in a mustAdvanced computer literacy including computer skills such as regulatory portals, CRM, spreadsheets, powerpoint and word processingAn inquiring mind and methodical approach with high attention to detailMust be based in Australia
