We are seeking a skilled
Risk Manager
to oversee and strengthen our risk management framework, ensuring robust protection against the unique risks of the crypto industry while aligning with regulatory standards.

In this role, you will:

Develop and refine risk management processes to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the cryptocurrency sector.

Manage escalation processes within the first line of defense and collaborate with second-line risk functions to ensure cohesive risk oversight.

Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on identifying, assessing, and mitigating key risks, including operational, trading, fraud, and cybersecurity risks.

Enhance governance frameworks, embedding best-in-class risk management practices across the organization.

Support teams in conducting biannual Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) to identify vulnerabilities and implement controls.

Oversee Risk Event submissions, performing root cause analyses and proposing actionable solutions to prevent recurrence.

Prepare and deliver comprehensive risk reports to internal committees, the board, and key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.

Drive a proactive risk culture, promoting awareness and integration of risk management principles across all business functions.

Contribute to incident management and business continuity planning, including scenario testing, gap analysis, and resilience strategies tailored to crypto operations.
You might thrive in this role if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, risk management, business, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM) preferred.

5+ years of experience in risk or control management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the cryptocurrency, Virtual Asset Trading Platform (VATP), or financial services industry.

Deep expertise in at least one key risk area (e.g., operational, trading, fraud, cybersecurity, or market risk); broad knowledge across multiple risk domains is a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools, with familiarity in applying them to crypto markets and blockchain technologies.

Proven ability to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership, regulators, and cross-functional teams.

Experience in incident management, business continuity planning, and stress testing, ideally with exposure to crypto-specific risks like wallet security or smart contract vulnerabilities.

Ability to foster a risk-aware culture and integrate risk management into business processes, particularly in the context of digital assets.

Familiarity with APAC regulatory environments (e.g., Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan) and global standards (e.g., AML, KYC) is highly desirable.

Proficiency in English required; knowledge of Mandarin, Cantonese, or other APAC languages is a plus.
